Lullaby For Wyatt

The Myers family is so much fun. I really enjoyed going to Fort Hunter and spending some time with them. They are so full of smiles and energy. I don’t think I can remember a time when I was around Scott or Michelle and they didn’t have a smile on their face. And I can definitely say that their beautiful attitudes have rubbed off onto their kids. I mean of course you have the wonderful toddler and kid moments, but they seem to pass quite quickly. Now I do realize I did not spend all day with them, I am sure its not all laughs and smiles but let me tell you guys something… You make having 4 kids look easy and fun! You guys are all great, and I really enjoyed photographing your family. I hope everyone can really see the love, joy, and fun this family has together. Their love radiates out to the rest of us, and I can say I feel blessed to have been a part of this time with you all. Thank you.

Casey and Sean have just welcomed the most beautiful little baby girl into the world. Her name is Abigail, and I was privileged to meet her when she was just over a week old. Casey and Sean are such wonderful parents, it was a great honor to photograph the three of them together. Abby was so cute in her little outfits and hairbands, she is so pretty and petite. I can’t wait to spend so much more time with the three of them. I know we will have so much fun together. It was also nice to see Abby’s Grandparents and Aunt, they had smiles from ear to ear, and Grandma and Grandpa had a certain glow about them. They were happy to be Grandparents. Abby you have some amazing parents, and an amazing family, I know you know that. Try and give your Mom and Dad some rest when you can. And I can’t wait to hold you again. Thank you so much for letting me come and visit.

Wyatt is now 5 months old. He does some of the coolest things now. He laughs out loud all the time. He smiles at just about everything that is even a little entertaining or funny. He rolls over, and sits up. And I hate to say this but he has even had a spill now. It was minor he fell when sitting on the floor and hit is head. He is eating baby solid foods and loves apples, bananas, and sweet potatoes, not a huge fan of peas. He loves to jump in his bouncer and show off how he can stand with no hands on his own in there. He likes the sound of his fingers rubbing up against certain things, and loves the sound the straps on his diaper makes when he unfastened them. Yes he has unfastened his diaper a few times.

Wyatt is doing so great in front of the camera and Uncle Joey, Auntie Amanda, and Elmo entertained him quite well for his 5 month photoshoot. He is teething and we think he is going to show us a tooth any day now. He chews and drools on anything and everything he can get his hands or mouth on. He has been nicknamed Spiderman because Grandma thinks he shoots off webs like Spiderman when he drools. Daddy and I call him Super Y, kind of like the show we just found called Super Why; but we have been calling him that way before we knew about the show.

He is seriously one of a kind. I think next month we will have our picture taken with the kitty cats: Rocky and Micky. Wyatt really likes them he likes to pet them, I just have to constantly remind him to be soft with soft things. I know he doesn’t understand me, but I think it makes the cats feel better, and I feel like we are working on it. He is still my cute little man in every way, but I must admit he is growing so fast and so big. He now weighs 17 lbs and 9 oz and he is super long/ tall, however you want to say it. We love him so much and we are so lucky to have him in our lives.

It is kind of crazy when you think about the idea that what ever age you are right now that is how many Easters, and Christmases, and other holidays you have experienced in your life. Maybe that is a silly thing to think about. But for some reason the idea kind of baffles me. That in my life I have lived through 25 Easters. I probably hunted for Easter eggs 13 or 14 times in my life depending when I started and stopped hunting. And each one was different and special in their own way.

I love hunting for eggs and hiding them too. I can’t wait for Wyatt’s first egg hunt. It is going to be so exciting for him I hope. The joys of childhood and how exciting everything can be. I feel like I am experiencing it all again just thinking about his firsts. Happy Easter everyone, may it be a great one. And may your inner child have a little fun and come out and play this Easter.

Having Wyatt, I can honestly say is the best thing to ever happen to me. When he wakes up in the morning and I go to pick him up he smiles at me and it just fills my heart. Its a love like no other. When I make him smile I know that he is happy. That is the thing about babies, they don’t fake anything, they don’t know how to, and they would have no reason to if they did. When I pick him up and he hugs me I know deep within every ounce of my soul that I am loved. And I know that he knows I love him the same.

Wyatt recently started eating solid foods. He makes me laugh so much. Sometimes when I go to feed him he blows raspberries and the food goes everywhere. I can’t be upset, who would be, its too cute. He has now rolled over quite a few times now. And his newest adventure is trying to sit up; although he really likes to stand, we have to support him of course. He laughs more and more everyday. His smile, his cheeks, his toes, his fingers, his eyes… Oh, how I could go on forever. I’m in love. He is so perfect. Even when he is crying and I can not for the life of me figure out what to do, he is still so perfect, and I still love him so much.

I hope one day Wyatt gets to read my blog posts and sees how much he has really brightened up our lives, and how much we both love him so much. I hope one day he looks at all of these pictures and the millions of others and knows how much he means to us all. He has truly made me the happiest mother in the world, and Josh the happiest father. Wyatt, we love you so much, and this is you at 4 months.
